I’m not **that** big of a floyd fan, mainly because it seemd like DC 101 would play a Floyd song **every other freaking record!!!** back when I was in high school. But, for me it’s _Wish You Were Here_, not just because it falls in line with my feelings about my late bandmates, but reminds me that I would do **anything** , including giving myself up to have them back. ---

And last, but certainly not least, the entirety of two of Pink Floyd’s most underrated albums, 1977’s _Animals_ and 1994’s _The Division Bell_. ---

The whole DSotM/WoO synchronicity issue was debated _ad nauseam_ in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78182), which includes links to the Mailbag column and a related Pit thread where the debate continued a bit more. Whatever synchronicity might exist was certainly not done intentionally. As for the favorite song question, I’ve never been able to choose just one, but “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Time”, “One of These Days”, and “Fearless” are all contenders. ---

Pink Floyd: -Comfortably Numb (of course… to date the only song that’s made me cry… yeah, I’m a sissy, sue me. :D) -Run Like Hell -The Fletcher Memorial -The Final Cut -Wish You Were Here -Welcome To The Machine 'Course, my favorite songs come from Roger’s solo works, _Amused To Death_, and _Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking_, which I consider to be the most perfect album ever created. ---

Oh you have GOT to be kidding me, SPOOFE. Roger Waters solo–and I include the abysmal _Final Cut_ on that list–is even less interesting than watching paint dry. At least paint doesn’t dry in Parts 1 through 3. As for the OP: “Time” is the perfect Floyd song, even though there are better Floyd songs. “Wish You Were Here” will still be played 100 years from now. ---

I mest agree that the entire “Atom Heart Mother” lbum is my favorite, but the song that really gets to me us “High Hopes”… I don´t know, there´s just something in it that gets to me… 🙂 ---

(sighs, takes a deep breath) _Shine On You Crazy Diamond_ (lot of emotion associated with this song), _Wish You Were Here_ (this one, too), _On The Day The Wall Came Down_, almost all of _The Wall_, especially _Mother_, _Waiting For The Worms_, _Run Like Hell_, _Goodbye Blue Sky_, _Comfortably Numb_, and the _Brick In The Wall_ songs. ---
