I had a panel From Krazy Kat blown up into a beautiful 24 x 36 poster. The panel was found online, and I was afraid that would result in a poster with giant pixels, but it’s perfect, and you can actually see the grain of the paper. ---

I used to have a copy of one of the [early movie posters](https://cdn.traileraddict.com/content/united-artists/license_to_kill.jpg) for the second Timothy Dalton film, _License to Kill_. It’s always been one of my favorites because: [ol] [li]I’m a Bond fan.[/li][li]I always liked Dalton as Bond. I don’t think he really got a fair shot at the character.[/li][li]It was a welcome change from those [busy](http://www.the007dossier.com/007dossier/james-bond-007-movie-posters/live-and-let-die/Live-And-Let-Die-Poster-02.jpg), [kind of silly](http://www.the007dossier.com/007dossier/james-bond-007-movie-posters/moonraker/Moonraker-James-Bond-007-Poster.jpg),[late Roger Moore](https://www.atthemovies.co.uk/components/com_cyaxshop/osx/image/cache/data/upload/A-VIEW-TO-A-KILL-1985-US-one-sheet-27-x-41-inches-signed-by-Roger-Moore-800x1200.jpg)-era movie posters. It’s a simple three-color motif of black, white and gold with that stark black background that implies menace and danger.[/li][li]And I think the tag line is fantastic.[/li][/ol]It’s one of the very few things I let go post-college that I kind of wish I still had. My wife and I have a Pinterest board called, “Stuff We Can Buy Each Other” because she claims I’m hard to get gifts for. An original of that poster is on the list. 🙂 ---

But its actually something I considered before starting the thread. What appeals to us all in terms of “wall art” sometimes comes down to things others would consider somewhat juvenile be it a movie image or fun snarky image. Don’t get me wrong; they can be very clever and well done as well but its like explaining your favorite obscure movie or TV show to others - sometimes things are lost in translation. I was just curious to see some of the other examples people here could/would give. ---

Unless your Mom was Joan Crawford how does one for m a negative association with coat hangers? Crumpled piles of outerwear clogging the closet rendering you to tears? I’d prefer it was the latter and not the former… Also, my favorite poster of [Paulina](https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/339318153145858037/) that hung on my wall as a teenager. ---

Can’t think of one offhand, but I do remember a former employer, whom some considered almost sadistic (even I was a little :dubious: about him) who had a _Silence of the Lambs_ poster in his office - only thing on his walls. ---

I have had an original copy of [this movie poster](http://img.moviepostershop.com/the-groove-tube-movie-poster-1974-1020193520.jpg) hanging on my wall since I was 19 years old. And I’ve wanted (but not yet acquired) [this movie poster](http://img.moviepostershop.com/stunt-man-movie-poster-1980-1020206551.jpg) since 1980; fantastic art there. But [this](https://imgur.com/XK3AOQQ) is my favorite poster. It’s been hanging on the wall since 1981, when I got it new in my copy of the album. Back in 1999 (I think) I paid a couple of hundred bucks for a frame, matting and some good UV glass; it currently occupies some wall space in my library. ---

Tough call. I love the the WPA National Park posters, the Santa Fe Railroad travel posters and those luminous Bierstadt paintings of the West. But I’d have to say my favorite is hanging in my hallway…a 1976 promotional poster for _[The Atarians](https://photos.app.goo.gl/CVmurcbFcyrHhwMb2)_ with the taglines “Start Playing With Tomorrow/Experience The Future Of Pinball”. ---
