I’ve googled for Qadqop the Mercotan, and I can’t find out what that’s about. More than half the links are referring to our own clubmate here. The rest are vague. Explanations? ---

**Cardinal** Upon googling Qadqop I came up with _… or Vishnu only to find, upon our death, that none of these exist and we instead find ourselves owing our continued existence to Qadgop the Mercotan,_ This was a description of a link that turned out to lead to nowhere. Hope this clears everything up… Qadqop the Mercotan Sounds a little Pratchett-esque to me. He gets my vote, by the way. ---

**imthecowgodmoo** , has always been my favorite. **Blinking duck** , who is no more, was always an excellent visual. As for current names, **Warm buttered toast** is so simplistic and perfect, it makes me jealous and hungry at the same time. **Atomic Badger Racing** is so catchy it should have a ™ after it. **Quasimodem** gets points for creativity. There are a few others that are escaping my feeble brain box right now. ---

I second **whuckfistle** and **owlofcreamcheese** as some of my favorites. There’s also someone here who goes by **1010011010**. Convert to decimal to see the signifiance. **«Ðëëp¤F®ïêd»™** gets my vote for greatest use of ASCII characters not found on a standard keyboard. While we’re discussing usernames, whatever happened to **raisinbread**? He/she always posted in purple like this. ---

As far as gimmicky trolls go, **The Grapist** was good. His dismissal was classic (booted for “random acts of violets”). I hadn’t seen **Atomic Badger Racing** before this thread, but that man/woman/badger gets my vote. ---

There is more that could be said about the story, and a number of diligent dopers know the backstory, but I’ll say no more here, other than it pre-dates Pratchett. 😃 ---

I’ve always loved look!ninjas. I think it’s the lack of capitalisation and the fact that ninjas doesn’t also get a !. It seriously makes me giggle every time I see it. SanguineSpider as well. It’s just… well, a nice username. I like most (if not all) of the names that have been mentioned. The names here me wish I had gone the funny or pretty username route instead of the simple route when choosing my own. 😛 Some of the most genius names I’ve ever seen. (Off topic note spawned by the mention of running with scissors - there used to be a poster on a Pokémon message board I visit named Don’t Run With Scizors, with Scizor being a Pokémon’s name. That always made me giggle too.) ---
