## Since reading the death on the thread, I thouhgt, “hmmmmm, who is my favorite?” I picked Apu, and it was close between him and homer, and then barny. The clincher was the time Homer was going to feed a peanut to Apu’s statue of an elephant goddess. “Oh, homer, please not to be feeding a peanut to the deity of my choice, sir.” Apu said in a great accent That was hilarious. how did it start? well i don’t know i just feel the craving. i see the flesh and it smells fresh and it’s just there for the taking… VvvV ---

My vote goes to Ralph Wiggum. He has some of the best lines ever. “That’s the rock where I saw the leprechaun. I like Gil, the guy who’s been a used car salesman(I just had 2 payments left on that hot plate!), doorbell salesman, Kwikee Mart janitor, and other equally pathetic jobs. Poor Gil cracks me up every time. ---

Side Show Bob. I don’t know why, but the quality of the writing in the Bob episodes is always superior to the rest. Kelsey Grammer should just quit that other show and devote himself to a Simpsons spinoff. ---

Moe and his pathetic life are always good for a laugh or two. Well I’m better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. Not that fancy dirt, that stuff’s loaded with nutrients. No question about it: Cletus the Slack-jawed yokel rocks on! Disco Stu. is a close second. I’d like to see episodes centered on these characters. They may be too one-dimensional for that to work… I am very surprised we have yet to have seen an episode centered on Groundskeeper Willy. There is certainly enough in his character to carry it off. Any scene with interaction between Mr. Burns and Smithers. Those two are funny as hell. On the dock, two of the crude and uncouth sailors (``Aarrr!’’) attempt to stare each other down. Mr. Burns turns to Smithers. Burns: What do you think, Smithers? Smithers: I think women and sea-men don’t mix. I’d have to go with either Cletus, (my life is full of slack-jawed yokels…) or Lionel Hurz. I miss Lionel popping up whenever tragedy struck. As for a favorite quote, for some the episode where Selma takes the kids to Duffland (ville?) comes to mind. I love the Comic Book Guy. His voice cracks me up, and like Ralphie, each line is usually hilarious. Quote from memory “That was the worst episode ever! Needless to say I was on the internet at alt.nerds.obsessive in minutes telling of my disgust!” Did anyone catch last Sunday’s episode where they get a horse?
