Willie Nelson: Bright Lights of Denver.
“Poughkeepsie, City of Sin”
Close enough for government work.
“Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash.
No, I do not live in the prison, and not a favorite of mine, but it is the only song I know of with the town’s name in the title.
Little Rock - Reba McEntire
Ok, she’s referring to a ring, but it’s my city too.
Little Rock - Collin Raye
Selling VCR’s at a Walmart in Little Rock
It’s a pretty good song.
The closest one to my town is Billy Joel’s “Who needs a house out in Hackensack” from Moving Out.
Easy one for me. I actually get goosebumps when I hear this:

I live in a little mining town in the middle of nowhere. Not a lot of songs about my burg. In fact, I can think of only one popular song (at the moment, anyway) that even mentions Missouri. It’s a classic.
Not for nothing, I can drive about 45 miles and be on what remains of/became of Route 66, in and around Cuba, Missouri. I’ve been to several Route 66 cities and landmarks in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. No, I’m not some Route 66 afficionado; rather, it’s just that my life and my travels have coincidentally taken me to those places.
