DRY- actually, 95.5 FM, then 1150 AM, then the replay on 690 AM in the afternoon if I missed anything! What a spaz… BTW, do you have internet access at your desk? You can get Rome simulcast on his website, [jimrome.com](http://jimrome.com) (no, I don’t know how to post links or anything like that, just a humble non-tech chick!). And how sweet of you to say so! 🙂 ---

Seriously. 🙂 Humble non-tech chickness notwithstanding! You clearly like sports. That alone deserves praise. But anyone who would go through so much time and effort to follow Jim Rome deserves my undying respect, nay, worship! 1150 AM, then 690, plus the webcast–you probably know what station he’s on in Needles or Fresno or wherever–and I mean that as a compliment!) Unfortunately, I do not have internet access at my desk. Heck, if I did, I’d have a hard time choosing between listening to Rome and posting to the SDMB! I’d get much less work done. But I’d be a happier employee! 😉 Hijacking my own hijack–did you hear Rome today? About an hour and a half into the show, I hear Rome say that because one of the callers really has to go to class and can’t stay on the phone forever, he’s going to take his call first. I’m thinking to myself: “WTF? Does Rome WANT to get excuses from all his callers that that the wife is pregnant and the water’s going to break any minute now, so can they please go first?” I would have been literally shaking my head in disbelief if I weren’t driving. Then I hear the call: “Good morning, Jim, thanks for the vine…” **BZZZZT** (Rome runs him) “Go to class!” I laughed so hard I nearly ran off the road. 😃 ---

My faves—\> The Don and Mike show. Prarie Home Companion. Car Talk. I used to listen to Bob Grant, but he’s mellowed out, and he doesn’t yell at the callers and hang up on them as much any more. I particularly liked it when he lost half his show to the Yankees, then he would be _ **really** _ cranky! ---

I love Car Talk, and worship the brilliant This American Life, which broadcasts from here in Chicago. Ira Glass and the rest of the crew on American Life are just great. Nothing wrong with NPR. My radio is tuned to it, and sometimes it’s a better source of news for me than TV. My favorite has to be “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me,” “Fresh Air with Terry Gross,” and “Car Talk.” Back in my younger days Dr. Demento would be on that list too as a regular favorite. ---

The Clark Howard Show (from here in Atlanta and I don’t think it is too widespread yet) and the Dan Patrick show on ESPN radio. Those shows have some sort of spell over me. ---

Definitely Bob & Tom. Grew up listening to them in Indiana, missed them while living in Chicago for 7 years where they weren’t carried (at least at that time), then moved to West Palm Beach. Heard them while trying to find decent stations to reset the buttons on my radio to one morning shortly after arrival. I’m a happy boy. ---

I used to love Dr. Demento, but I am not aware of any station in the San Jose area which carries it. I used to work in a lab in which the boss had NPR on all the time. Couldn’t deal with the music – lots of wuss jazz with the exception of Vince Guaraldi’s “Linus and Lucy” – but I liked the British stuff and “All Things Considered.” ---

Adore **Dr. Demento** - but don’t seem to be able to find him on the Denver stations anymore. **Jon Caldara** A local KOA talker. **Russ Johnson** also KOA **Danny Bonaduce** and Jamie Whats-her-name-who-doesn’t-get-bolding-because-she’s-just-irritating-and-only-there-to-give-Danny-a-foil. ---

Am I the only person out there who listens to Loveline? I can’t listen to an entire show, but a dose of Adam and Dr. Drew in the car is just right. BTW, it’s **Whad’Ya Know?** I like to do the quiz online-- [http://www.notmuch.com](http://www.notmuch.com) Unfortunately, NPR in western Mass sucks, but when at home in the DC area, I can listen to the NPR talk shows all day long, which is great.
