Tom for all of his weird association with Scientology and his views on relationships, he’s still a pretty good actor, and I have enjoyed most of his movies. So which one is yours: Endless Love Taps The Outsiders Losin’ It Risky Business All the Right Moves Legend Top Gun The Color of Money Cocktail Rain Man Born on the Fourth of July Days of Thunder Far and Away A Few Good Men The Firm Interview with the Vampire Mission: Impossible Eyes Wide Shut Magnolia Mission: Impossible 2 Vanilla Sky Minority Report The Last Samurai Collateral War of the Worlds Mission: Impossible III Lions for Lambs Tropic Thunder Valkyrie Knight and Day Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol Rock of Ages Jack Reacher Oblivion Edge of Tomorrow Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation Jack Reacher: Never Go Back The Mummy I think that _ **Taps** _ is my all time favorite from this list. The only ones I haven’t seen are _Collateral_ and _Lions for Lambs_. ---

I’ve only seen around a dozen of those (the most recent is _Minority Report_) and have strong memories of only three or four. I’d have to call either _Risky Business_ or _Legend_ my favorites, with _Top Gun_ as the runner up. ---

Edge of Tomorrow is my favorite. May not be his best, artistically speaking, but I found it the most entertaining. ---

My favorite, overall movie wise is _A Few Good Men_. His performance in _Tropic Thunder_ was a fun surprise. _Taps_ is an excellent movie and was my favorite for a few years. And though I had a crush on Timothy Hutton, I could see what an outstanding actor TC is. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him give a _bad_ performance, though he may have been miscast (looking at you, _Rock of Ages)_. ---

They are like Bond movies - each one has something stupid, but overall they are really good. I haven’t seen all of them, but I’d put Days of Thunder at the bottom of the ones I had. If you never have, watch the credits sequence of DoT and Top Gun back to back, Not only are the movies basically the same plot, DoT ripped off practically shot for shot the opening of TG. ---

I’m a big ol’ Dustin Hoffman fanboy, so I’m biased in favor of **Rain Man** ; but, even so, I have to admit that Cruise is doing all the heavy lifting in the thankless supporting role of _“regular guy we can relate to as he shows a lot of realistic emotion while trying to sound like the voice of reason”_ – instead of his usual _“star of the movie showing mere confidence in his borderline superhuman ability”_ schtick. ---

_ **Rain Man** _, hands down. \*\*\*Top Gun \*\*\*was good; so was _ **Valkyrie** _. But _ **Rain Man** _ really got to me on a personal level. ---

I love so many of his movies, it’s a tough call. Favorite movie, maybe _Edge of Tomorrow_. Favorite Tom Cruise performance, either \*Tropic Thunder \*or _Magnolia_. ---

Edge of Tomorrow. It’s got something for everyone. Love Cruise? He’s great in it. Hate Cruise? He dies. A lot. The Last Samurai is #2. Not very historic, but fun. I can’t remember any of the plot differences between the MI movies except the first one. ---
