I suspect there have been threads on this (knowing my failing memory, I probably posted to 'em) but I couldn’t figure out how to search on the topic. - Not the sharpest knife in the drawer - Not the sharpest tool in the shed - Not the brightest bulb on the porch - One taco short of a combo plate What are some others? I have always wanted to come up with one of my own that was funny and immediately grasp-able but have never seen it through. [guitar speak] One tuning machine short of a full headstock? He has a full six-pack but lacks the plastic thing to hold it all together. The gates are down, the lights are flashing, but that train isn’t coming. If he were any stupider, he’d have to be watered twice a week. ---

Not the brightest bulb on the tree. Elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top. My Granddaddy’s favorite: That boy’s bread ain’t done. Dumb as a bag of hammers. A few fries short of a Happy Meal. Not playing with a full deck. Took one too many pucks to the head. Two beers short of a six pack. The wheel is turning but the hamster’s dead. ---
