# Favourite funerals

My parents and most funerals I’ve gone to were standard and boring. There are a few I remember as memorable. Mr. Paul, my friends’ grandfather. A 90+ year old scion of a small town hearing stories of a rambunctious youth in the eulogy. Another of a WWII vet fighter pilot, when the Army color guard played taps and folded the flag, and my friend Howie. A man just past 40, a plain spoken farmer. Buried in jeans a flannel shirt and a tractor logo ball cap.
