I almost swallowed my tongue when a table magician made a nut (as in nuts-and-bolts) the size of my salad plate that weighed like thirty pounds disappear from under his hat, at my dinner table no further than two feet from me. When you see magicians on stage or on TV, it’s easy to think “I bet I could catch what he’s doing if I were closer.” When you see a good magician right in front of you, it’s really impressive.
