Yeah, I guess I did, but they were the first ones that I found that had been branded trolls. Had to get bj0rn in, who seems to irritate Coldfire so. Does this make me a popular poster, a troll or just some fool to ignore? Any way it goes, I guess HS was long ago enough for me to live with what I get. ---

Supposedly, it is dedicated to stamping out ignorance. Why is someone’s mental agility not more of a factor in determining a poster’s popularity on the board? Is this really a question of the most popular MPISM’s posters? For the most part, regular denizens of the GQ and GD sections are woefully underrepresented. But, in my eyes, these areas are the heart of the SDMB. How can a study which attempts to determine which posters are most important to the board ignore the posters most important in these two vital fora? Which brings me back to where I started. Coldfire, (and everybody else) why do you care about this issue? I’m not trying to be caustic, I’d really like an answer. Well, OK, maybe I am trying to be a _little_ snarky, but I would actually like some insight here, so an honest response would be appreciated. * * * Plunging like stones from a slingshot on Mars. ---

You nailed it, Guano. Frankd6: thanks for your elaborate response to my OP. To answer your question, it IS a bit of mindless fun and NO, I don’t need the affirmation. The thing is, if you don’t like a subject like this, don’t bother to click on the subject line (which was pretty clear as to what the content of the thread might look like). OK folks. Time to narrow down the rules. Or actually, broaden them. Since all of you have complied perfectly to the format requirements as well as the amount limitations, I introduce the following NEW RULES: 1. The old scoring system is discontinued: scoring will be done by the amount of times a name is mentioned. 2. Before you now start submitting your own name 56 times in a row, I would like to limit the nominations to 10 per poster. And I will try to live up to that rule, no matter how long this thread may get before the deadline… 3. I will be completely impartial, so YES, submitting Phaedrus, bj0rn and the likes WILL get them on the list. Like it or not. ## Carry on now.
