I should probably celebrate the end of my lurking career with something more dignified, but curiosity has got the better of me. What is your favourite slang word for this most special of body parts? Obscure regional dialect words a bonus. My three favourite words from the land I hail from (Belfast, N Ireland) are; 1. waab (think like the ‘al’ in calm) 2. lanyard (pronounced lanyurd, emphasis on the ‘r’) 3. lad (pronounced with a short a in the middle of the sentence eg. ‘ach go on, get yer lad out’ or long like an aa at the end of a sentence eg. ‘fer feck’s sake, would ye take a look at the size of his laad?’) Are there any other areas of the English speaking world with such a bounty of descriptive words for this part of the anatomy? Or could it be that Belfast is well endowed with so many names for the male reproductive organ be for similar reasons that eskimoes have so many words for snow? ---

I could probably name off about 25 different slang words for it that I know… but I won’t… I don’t like most of them. To my kids— “Put some pants on. I don’t want to see your ‘winky’!” Otherwise-----" My boyfriend has a NICE ‘package’…" 😉 ---

Shortly after my girlfriend and I met, we were on a plane showing _How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days_, which apparently had quite an impact on her. “Princess Sofia” she will jokingly name it. Not always, but more than she should. And why I am admitting this is beyond me… I, being a wiser _The Big Lebowski_ fan, prefer “jonson” ---
