# FAX Question About HP J4580 All In One

Can someone help me with this?
What do I need to do to receive a fax on this thing - just not answer the phone.
I’m expecting a bunch of neuro-psych stuff and it’s a questionnaire and I have a deadline, and I have never received a fax at home before and it’s a shared line with answering machine.
I HAVE sent a fax on it w/ no problem but never received one.

Sorry, y’all. Someone else set this up for me, and I didn’t realize that all I needed to do is set the number of rings on the answering machine to higher than 4, so that it can receive.
I swear, y’all! :o Sometimes I amaze myself, I really do!
