Yeah - I’d like to hear how many pages they have had scanned so far. More than ZERO? Will be interesting to hear Dearie’s response. This ain’t rocket appliances or anything. Just requires the generous application of cash - up front, if you please. Short timeframes can be met with more/better staff/technology - which involves more $ - but too bad, so sad. ---

If Trump made that claim in court, I would be pissed with the decision. If the DOJ never moves to charge Trump over the theft and security breach, I will also be pissed. ETA: Yes, Nars Gliley, the judge is totally pulling for Trump. I wasn’t intending to dispute that. ---

If Trump refuses to comply with Dearie’s requests, what happens? Would it be considered contempt of court? Not that I’d expect Cannon to do anything about it, but does either Dearie or the DOJ have any independent power to ensure the requests are complied with? ---

I think the ruling says that Trump is under no obligation to reveal his legal defense strategy at this stage of the proceedings. IANAL. As much as I want to see trump in prison, I think that this is the legally correct ruling. A person under investigation has rights. Trump has the same rights that anyone else does. If the case ever comes to trial then he may make the claim that the documents were planted, or he may not. He may make the claim that he declassified them, or he may not. He doesn’t have to reveal his defense until that time.
