It is my understanding that they were arguing that there was harm, that he needed immediate relief. There were things that as a former president, there needed to be an exception. Golf shirts seems really weak tea for that argument. ---

I believe Cannon herself thought up the whole Special Master business and offered it up to trump’s team, who probably never even heard of such a thing. What Dearie did or didn’t do was immaterial- stalling was the goal of course.
