I thought it was a fair comment. Sure, judges don’t normally propose orders for others to send their way, but there is no reason to think this judge wouldn’t. Suppose it worked and her tactic delayed things enough that charges are never brought and El Schmucko winds up getting that second term after all. That puts Cannon on the Supreme Court. There is no use to trying to find the bottom to the GOP barrel, there is none. All customs and traditions are sacred when the Democrats are in power and to be ignored when Republicans get a chance to do so. ---

Returning to the report of further classified documents being found, I know I shouldn’t be surprised but… Trump hired a firm to search his own properties to see if he had - uh - misplaced anything? That doesn’t exactly inspire great confidence in the control of classified documents. j ---

And responding to Treppenwitz’s point, and that of many (most?) of the posters in this thread, if he HAD JUST DONE THAT WHEN ASKED he would likely have dodged all of the legal headaches from this. ---

Trump and his lawyers go apeshit about the FBI taking stuff that was so secret they had to bring in special people with the right clearances to even begin to examine it and then they go and hire an outside firm with no clearances whatsoever to go look for more docs??
