Vincent Willem van Gogh had been born and had died before in 1853 his younger and ultimately more famous brother of the same name was born. Growing up, Van Gogh walked past a gravestone with his exact name on it every day going to school.

King Charles II had an older baby brother also called Charles, who died before him.

Then again, Charles I had a _lot_ of children.
