Low-profile, **featherlou**? I don’t know about that. I recognize your name. And am usually pleased to see it. You were here when I got here. I suppose low-profile is a relative thing.

I’m sure we all find some validation here. I’m certainly not immune to it, although I try to stay calm, cool and curious.

I like your sig, BTW; it’s one of my favourite quotes.

You might be more stubborn than me. I couldn’t get all the way through. It did hurt to read. And we do eat our own here, sometimes. Damnit. But mostly we don’t, IMHO. The dead of winter seems to be hard on a lot of people whose [so-called] RL geography subjects them to it. It seems to carry over to posts here.

**Nutty Bunny** , I feel exactly the same way you do. Exactly. That’s why my post counts are relatively low on all the boards I frequent.

I like lurking here, but that’s about it. There are plenty of interesting threads. Recently I thought I might respond to a topic here and there, until I got ripped a new one because of a comment I made about _Lord of the Rings_. I could understand if I made a blanket condemnation of some subset of humanity, but to get flamed because I didn’t like a movie? It gave me a good laugh, but really. That’s a bit much.

Anyway, back to lurk mode.
