# FedEx going to wrong address. Am I screwed?

Just remember, when you’re wondering why they never check ID or anything for signatures: somewhere at FedEX HQ, there’s an MBA type who’s compared the cost of a strict ID policy (customers upset cause they couldn’t get their legitimate package, extra delivery trips for FedEx, etc.) with the cost of just paying up for the package when the wrong person gets the package and keeps it (and the right person complains forcefully enough).
