Factual question: FedEx claims my package was not delivered yesterday “because of the strike in Portland.” Is there a strike in Oregon? I find no corroboration online. Thanks.

They may be talking about the demonstrations celebrating Biden’s election victory.

There is no strike. FedEx is an anti-union, anti-labor company. If they are claiming “because of the strike in Portland,” they’re laying blame on the Biden-Harris victory celebrations for delayed service.

Thanks! You’re probably right, though I did clarify, “You’re saying the FedEx office was closed because FedEx is on strike in Portland?” and receive an affirmative answer. Also not sure how a demonstration described as “peaceful” by the police on Sunday night turned into “we attempted delivery [to our coordinating office] and the office was closed” on Sunday morning, but whatever.
