Perhaps we’re going to need a thread to call out **fedman** ’s asshattery, before someone loses patience and ends up getting a warning for giving his nonsense the response it deserves somewhere outside the Pit. I suppose if the mission is to fight ignorance, we need ignorant members. Mind-numbingly stupid members, not so much. He is apparently “going by guestimates (no names or actual empirical evidence)”. [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=872046](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=872046) In which, although he does not speak the English language well enough to produce a sentence of his own without grammatical errors, he attacks standard usage of the word “only” and ignores several patient referenced replies. If he’d stick to posting nonsense about the English language, I suppose that’s better than posting nonsense about major health issues. I have a feeling there is more to come. ---

I consider this offense to be as grave as those of **fedman**. (What does that username refer to, btw?) It appears that the problem is the use of ‘http’ instead of ‘https.’ Oddly, I can fix the defective view by clicking _Straightdope v.3.7.3_ in the lower-left, but _SultanBugs_ re-appears after the next click. To fix the tab permanently, I must manually change the ‘http’ back to ‘https.’ Surely a detailed explanation of this behavior will be more interesting than further armchair psychology of Mr. Fedman. 🙂 My guess is that https cookies aren’t seen by the http access. ---
