Just as an aside, where do these clowns get pepper spray, I’m guessing in quantity? Is that something you can get online? Not asking for myself or a friend, just to satisfy my curiosity. ---

Making a disclaimer prior to doing the thing you said you disclaimed is cowardly. Own your opinions and stand by them. That being said, do you: 1. I support the right to defend yourself (even from words) as well as supporting the right to speak your mind, as well as support the law that calls the punch an assault. I really don’t see how this is a hard concept? Clearly you support his right of speech, but you don’t think his speech can come with repercussions, for every action, there is the possibility of a reaction. Talk about cowardly “I’M NOT TOUCHING YOU”, as finger edges increasingly closer to face And yes, if you don’t want assault charges leveled against you, then practice sticks and stones ---

For someone not excusing the assault, they’re putting a lot of effort into excusing the assault. “Defending yourself from words” with physical assault isn’t defending yourself in any meaningful way (unless the “words” are themselves a threat of violence). It’s just assault. ---
