Jenna Duggar now charged with endangering a minor (unrelated case). There’s not much use in pouring your limited resources (time, money, etc.) into something if the conclusion is expected to be the same. Sure, Duggar has a right to appeal. I don’t begrudge him using it. But, given that a sexual predator, I’m not going to put any effort into anything that might in any way make it easier for him to prey on children again. And if someone agrees with me that he’s a sexual predator, I’m going to look askance at them not having that view. ---

Reddit takes a lot of shit but some of those communities are doing some amazing work, like the Gamestop subs raising a quarter of a million dollars for Dian Fossey’s gorilla foundation and the same group now raising a shit ton for Toys For Tots. Internet activism is taking off in a big way. ---

Good lord, just because it’s a misdemeanor doesn’t mean it’s “not very serious.” [From the Arkansas State code:](https://law.justia.com/codes/arkansas/2017/title-5/subtitle-3/chapter-27/subchapter-2/section-5-27-206/) - (1) A person commits the offense of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree if he or she knowingly engages in conduct creating a substantial risk of serious harm to the physical or mental welfare of another person known by the person to be a minor. - (2) As used in this section, “serious harm to the physical or mental welfare” means physical or mental injury that causes: ---
