Hey F3ers! Sorry about last Friday - I was sick beyond belief for the past week. ☹ But that’s last week - this is this week! \*\*So tell me - what signals the official start of your weekend? \*\* Is it when the clock strikes 5? Is it when your feet touch your doorstep? Is it the first swig of ice-cold beer? Tonight my weekend will start once I reach my boyfriend’s house and I can finally get out of these work clothes. There’s something about being in the cool, quiet of his home that lets me go “aaaaaaaaaaah.” What about you? ---

Ooooh - I’m so jealous. If I had a more secluded end unit - I would so be buying a little kiddie pool to lounge in - it’s been over 100 for days here. ---

Weekend? What is the word of which you speak? This factory acceptance test is killing me. I believe this will be the third weekend in a row that I will be working. It looks like my next day off will be 3 July. 26 days in a row. I am way too old for this kind of crap. Wait… sorry… thought this was the minirant thread. Carry on. heh heh heh ---

My weekend starts officially at 5:10 on Friday afternoons. That is when I’ve left the office, gotten on the train, found a seat and opened my book. My mind has officially rolled from weekday to weekend at that point. ---

I have to say, I really appreciate having the pool as a resource. It’s mabye a 10 minute walk from my place, mostly through the woods. It’s owned and run by the city, and is free. Despite what a lot of people think, it’s kept very clean. It can get very busy, but at the beginning of the day and the end of the day it’s usually pretty quiet. Splash! ---

Considering half the darn office didn’t even show up today (“Oh traffic will be terrible, G20 is scary”), I believe I shall start my weekend at around 4:30 instead when I settle into a seat on the almost empty subway and open my book. ---

What’s an F3er? The weekend officially starts for me at 5:00 on Friday, but at 3:00 Friday afternoon, I tear another page off my Cat-A-Day desk calendar and feel less guilty about surfing the internet. ---

It starts when I walk in the door and my wife has a cold one waiting for me, we clink glasses and she toasts “welcome to the weekend” and gives me a kiss. I wish I could say it starts when I close my office door, but the summer commute home (traffic, construction, stupid drivers) doesn’t really let me get into the weekend-y frame of mind.
