I don’t think she has made any attempts to offend anyone either. Her stance seems to be more one of amazement that some people who replied to this thread can’t take a fucking joke. I concur wholeheartedly. When did you get such a thin skin Tymp? Let’s face it, everyone knows this is an UL, someone posted it not because of the actual story but because of its juxtaposition with a strange situation, and everybody starts tearing him a new ass? Some of you, instead of looking and laughing, come out with your fucking teeth and claws bared for no apparent reason. There may be messageboards that respect people who can’t take a joke. “This ain’t one of 'em.” Oh yeah, I forgot: but have a lovely day, none the less. ---

I’d never heard or seen it before. I thought it was kinda funny. Does that make me a bad person…? Personally I didn’t think it played on any stereotypes. Maybe I’m just naive or blind, but I don’t see it. I don’t see how a homosexual person would be offended by this. Of course, I’m not a homosexual person, so I have no frame of reference. Plus, it’s just a joke right? No group called, People Against Gays, got together and propagated this thing as an anti-homosexual statement did they? Maybe we all need to lighten up a little bit, and those that find it funny, shall and keep their mouths shut, and those that find it offensive can choose not to read it and keep their mouths shut. I hope I’m not offending anyone myself, I’m not trawling for flames or anything. Take care all. And I think that since I’m the most incredible killer of posts, this will prolly die with me. ---

Well, **Demo** , if you though it was funny and **looselucy** thought it was funny and the entire third grade class of PS 934509873147 in Assboink, ID though it was funny, it must be fucking hilarious and I must be out of line. Maybe you’re right. I should get off the high horse. The poor beast certainly isn’t stout enough to bear both of us. ---

do you speak for the whole board? are you the person who decides what is funny, and what is not? i am new here, and i don’t remember reading anywhere that all must bow to the high and mighty tymp. as for message boards that respect my kind… i don’t expect to get respect on a thread about felching. i don’t know what is funnier, the ul that started this, or your reaction to my post. ---

when i _know_ its going nowhere good? Because I’m an idiot who doesn’t like stupid fights and I would rather not loose MPSIMS to the Pit often. Tymp, you are a sensitive individual who cares about the feelings of those around you. That is great. Its needed in the world, empathy is what I feel humanity should be striving to develop. I don’t think looselucy or the OP was indending to ignore empathy for anyone involved. Looselucy didn’t start getting defensive until she was attacked, normal human behavior. From what I can read, she was commenting on the nature of humor, even coarse humor. She was responding perfectly in line with MPSIMS and SDBM in general. I don’t think she ever said that gays don’t deserve to live or the ‘gay lifestyle’ is inherently evil. (If she did, I would not attempt to defend her.) Basically, chill a bit. You’re a cool person, show it off. looselusy, hi, welcome to SDMB. I’m Medea’s Child. People can occasionally get touchy about things here. Homosexuality is a big one. In an effort to increase the tolerance level of humanity, a few of the lovely, gentle, open-minded people here can get militant about everyone being just as open minded as them. Sorry you had to get a taste of it so fast. MPSIMS is usually the nice place to hang out. If you want to be mean, go play in the Pit. Here we do try not to step on people’s toes. Again, chill a little. At least chill here, go start a Pit thread about lack of humor if you want. On the hijacked OP… I thought it was worth a smile. As a UL or joke, not a real life deal, I understand that injury is not funny. Not as a homosexual/beastality fear/unknown thing, but more along the lines of a problem solving/engineering entertainment. I get into really wierd scrapes all of the time. (Not this particular one…yet) I can appreciate the ‘shit, what do we do now’ aspect. That is what I find funny about it. Just my $0.03 ---
