Hey all! It’s my girlfriend’s birthday in about a week or so, and I have a big favor to ask. She a gamer (Like me :)) and owns a 360. One of the few things that she asked for for her birthday is a Live time card. I’m embarrassed to say that I can’t even afford a one month card for her this year. I’m in school, working an (almost) full time job, and am 100% self supported money wise. I can barely make it by paying my bills for this month, but have made her an awesome Princess Peach birthday card, which is good for me since I lack any artistic genes. I’ve also made a question-mark block replica and some small felt mushrooms and coins that I put inside. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone out there had any 360 Live codes that they may have acquired from buying an Xbox game. I know that some out there come with a code to give you a month of game time. I really hate asking for handouts, especially via the internet, but I’m sure she would really appreciate it! I don’t think I’ve ever bought a game that came with free Live time, but good luck in your quest - sounds like a wonderful birthday gift. ---

Check the insides of your game cases. Also, for cheap(er) Live cards, check Amazon. Often, they’re on sale. Also, there’s a Doper Friends of Friends Gamertag, so you can send invites out to Dopers if you so desire. Send a Friend Request to AAA SDMB. ---

I do check the inside of the cases, so I’d be very surprised if a time card magically retroactively appeared in one. I think I play different games than you do. ---

I’m pretty sure I have an unused Live Gold trial code that came with Gears of War from last year some time, but it’s the PC version so I’m not sure how well that works. But it’s the same network for both systems, right? ---
