What is really alarming to me is that you would think that a case like this would serve as a wake-up call to all households with guns and kids.

But, alas, such is not the case. From a CNN report I saw today:

In Washington state today (or maybe yesterday), a 5 year old go tupset with playmates, ran into his house, got a gun, loaded the gun, and fired it at the 2 playmates.

Thankfully, he missed.

How in God’s name does a 5 year old know how to load a handgun? What on earth is that gun doing where he can get it so quickly?

Anyone else here anything more about this case?

I was beginning to think I was hallucinating that I had heard about this story while walking through our waiting area at work. But I finally found a link here describing the case further.

I’d be interested to hear what Ayesha and the Lion have to say about this latest case. Unless I’m misremembering, haven’t they talked about how they’ve trained their kids how to use firearms at a young age?
