Well, is there one? And can it give them problems like men tend to have?

I am not an expert, but I am also not trying to be funny. I believe it is what has been called the _G spot_\*.

Many have claimed that the Grafenberg spot is the female equivalent of the prostate, but histologically it has never been demonstrated to the scientific community’s satisfaction as a whole.
[Gspot = prostate](http://www.doctorg.com/6conclusions.htm)

Others have claimed that the uterus is the female equivalent. [Uterus = prostate](http://www.life-flo.com/prostatecancer.html)

Others state that the prostate has no female equivalent.
[No female equavalent to prostate](http://www.urolog.nl/patienten-eng/prostate.asp)

Personally I think there is something to the idea that the prostate and the G spot (or Skene’s glands) have a common embryologic origin, but there’s not a great deal of science out there to support it. Not that I’ve seen anyway.

Since the prostate gland’s function is to secrete prostatic fluid for the health, benefit, and transportation of sperm cells, no, there isn’t a female equivalent of it.

However, girls have something called the [Bartholin’s glands,](http://www.howstuffworks.com/human-reproduction3.htm) which also secrete “stuff”.

> Finally, two sets of glands, the greater vestibular gland (Bartholin’s gland) and the lesser vestibular gland, are located on either side of the vagina and empty into the labial folds of skin. The secretions from these glands lubricate the labial folds during sexual excitation and intercourse.

And yes, your Bartholin’s glands can give you trouble: they can get plugged up, they can get cysts, they can get cancer.
