[/QUOTE] Getting serious, though - I think there’s a certain sexiness in not _trying_ to look sexy, if that makes any sense. So an attractive woman who is doing something because she has an _interest_ in doing that, and not because she is trying to be feminine or trying to look sexy, is _doubly_ attractive. It’s not really confidence per se, because models and glamorous movie stars are certainly confident, but are not attractive in the earthy, genuine sense of a woman in an occupation not traditionally thought of as “feminine”. Case-in-point: Kari Byron on _Mythbusters_ has a HUGE fan base. Men love to watch her swinging a hammer. It’s the whole Ginger vs. MaryAnn thing, I guess. Trying too hard to look sexy is a turn-off. ---

Marketing, at my work anyways, seems to be filled with sexy women. I think this is a reflection of personality, socialbility and communications skills at least as much as actual looks. ---

Mechanics. RRRrOWRR! My favorite mechanic of all time was this petite little brunette who worked at one of the local shops when I was growing up (late teens). She was a girl-next-door type – not amazingly beautiful, but had this… presence, I guess. None of it was deliberate (as far as my addled brain could tell, anyway), but the coveralls fit _just_ right and the smear of grease on her cheek was the perfect color of makeup and the way she stuck her tongue into one corner of her mouth while doing the finicky bits and… and… Pardon me. Whew. ANYway… she was working there while going to night school for something, I dunno what. Back then I wouldn’t have had the guts to ask her out anyway, even assuming she’d have been interested. But I could admire her from afar, oh yes. I wonder where she ended up…? ---

There’s a “hot nurse fantasy”, but that doesn’t mean most guys think most nurses are hot. The vast majority of nurses I’ve ever met were exceptionally ugly and clearly in poor health. I can only think of one actual hot nurse I’ve seen recently, and I was in the midst of a cardiac event a couple steps below a heart attack that night so I couldn’t exactly make my move. IMO, the nurse fantasy itself is outdated, from a time when nursing was one of the only professional fields where women could be taken seriously. I think back then it was just hot for women to work for a living, which led to the teacher/nurse/secretary fantasies. A woman playing a saxophone gives me evil thoughts. And I’m down with the grease monkey hottie. I had my oil changed at one of those drive throughs. It was all college kids, about half female, the smudge of grease, the ruffled hair, coveralls. I’m so there. ---

I’m often attracted to girls working in a bakery and cafes. The job says “traditional” but more often than not the girls have something of a counter culture air about them. They strike me as having the best qualities from two entirely different worlds.
