If the question is, “What makes female teachers attracted to adolescent boys?” I couldn’t attempt to explain it. I’d much rather answer the question, “Why do women attracted to adolescent boys choose to become teachers particularly?” It seems to me that teaching is one wholly approved occupation for a woman in which she interacts with teenage boys, whereas men interested in teenage girls could also be pastors, coaches, and so on. ---

No, just that 11 years age difference is not beyond what is normally accepted in western culture, though it’s seldom the female who’s the older. And that, given she’s attractive, I find it unlikely the boy had to be overly manipulated – and thus mentally harmed - to have sex with her. All in all I doubt the boy was much damaged by the whole tryst with the woman, whereas having his sorry ass dragged through the whole law machine and media circus is enough to make a grown man cry. Indeed, thinking back to my younger years and boys in my class then, I would think he was blessed had it not been found out. **Rune** , you do realize that the reason for those pictures was to be able to substantiate charges of intimate knowledge between the boy and Lefave? (Doesn’t make the eww factor of the cop any less, of course, but the pictures themselves, are pretty standard in any rape case where the incidence of sex may be contested.) ---

**Rune** , I don’t have the article handy, sorry. I’d not heard about the officer involved being fired for surfing for porn at work. However, when the photos of Lefave’s hoochy were taken, her lawyer protested, on the basis that they might get released on a Freedom of Information Act request. It was pointed out that this is the same procedure used for rape cases involving male accuseds. Especially as (according to what I recall of the article I read) the genitals of the accused were considered distinctive, either a tattoo, piercing or something else. I’m not saying that the pictures couldn’t be misused. Nor that they weren’t. I have no idea whether they were, or not. Only that there was a legitimate legal reason for them to be taken. ---
