# Femininity and conjoined or siamese twins?

Hi, first off, I know nothing about this sort of thing but here goes. I watch a lot of talk shows and documentaries and I have found that most, infact I’d be willing to say all, of the conjoined twins I’ve seen have been women. Why is this? I know that the term “Siamese Twins” comes from males twins born in Siam, but I’ve never seen male conjoined twins on any program or read about them at all?

I’ve seen a few cases reported in the media of male cojoined twins surviving into adulthood (aside from the Bunkers). However, this is merely anecdotal. I don’t know if this phenomenon is more dominant among females than males.
