# Ferris Bueller sequel

I always felt that “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” was ripe material for a sequel. Considering the success of the movie, I’m surprised it didn’t happen. I particularly think that a spinoff centered around Cameron would be really interesting. Cameron was rather emblematic of Generation X (or at least the popular image in the early 90’s of Generation X) and it would have been the perfect movie for its time had it come out back then. Unfortunately, those actors are 15 years older now, so I guess it’s too late. And we’ll never know what happened when his father came home and saw his wrecked car.

if I remember correctly, there was a short lived tv series based on the movie. Didn’t Jennifer Aniston play the bitch sister? in the tv series, that is.

There _was_ talk of a sequel about a year or so ago. IIRC, all the original cast had signed on. Ferris was to be a corporate stuffed shirt working a drone job and decides to play hooky. More wacky hijinx ensue.

Don’t know what happened to the project, though.
