# ferry from dr to pr

One quick question I have a friend who is a us pr card holder and he is in dominican republic can he use the ferry from dominican republic to puerto rico? And do you have to go through immigation in puerto rico?

Anybody can use it, regardless of nationality. It is an international voyage, so there will be customs and immigration procedures on arrival.

It is a very expensive ferry – it might be cheaper to fly.
