# Fever chills sweats. What order for you?

So I’ve been sick the last few days. The wave for me seems to be feeling so cold I am literally shivering, bundling up, spiking high, and then drenching sweat. Then back down until the next wave.

Your experience the same or different?

The same. You get the chills when your temperature rises, because your body is warming itself up, and sweats when your temperature falls, because your body is cooling itself down.

When I wasn’t on hormonal birth control, I would get the chills when I ovulated. That involves a rise in body temperature too.
