> The show _Stargate: SG1_ had an entire episode about a character who has inside knowledge of the secret Stargate program and he’s helping produce [a science-fiction television show called _ **Wormhole X-treme** _](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT-Vf_x4Dc4) that’s based on the ‘real-life’ SG1 team. So, basically, it was a chance for _Stargate: SG1_ to do a hilarious parody of itself.

And it included Peter DeLuise, the director of SG-1, as the director of Wormhole Extreme.

The best part was the interviews at the end with the actors from Wormhole X-treme.

Particular the first bit with the Fake Daniel Jackson explaining who he is…it’s at least 5 levels of imitation deep…

I thought the OP was going to mention [del]Sherrif[/del] Sheriff Bud. Those shows were before my time, but I’d think the cowboy host is from Howdy Doody, and the “I see you out there in TV land” was…Romper Room?
