It’s stone and on hinges. It opens towards you. There is a simple latch. ---

Is the door locked? If not, I’d suggest opening it slowly with me at the crack and Ingmar ready to shoulder it closed if it looks like too much is going to rush through at us. ---

OK, Brunis opens the door, ready to hack up anything that moves. And something in the next room does move. That room is about 15x15, and in the far left corner is a pile of straw. An animal of some sort gets startled. It looks up at you with frightened eyes. After a second, you realize that it is, in fact, a human. A young human. Shirtless, shivering, hands and feet bound, gagged. (Note that this is not a complete description of the room, just your first impression of it.) ---

You came in through the west wall. To your left against the wall is a chest. The child is in the northeast corner. There is another door on the south wall. There are torch brackets on each wall, none of which is in use. The child has obviously been in the dark. The stench of poo and pee is pretty overwhelming. ---

Aside from a few scrapes, being freezing cold, and covered in his own filth, he appears to be unharmed. ---
