Didn’t Germany do something similar in their 7-1 game? Let me look. I know they scored 5 goals in 29 minutes of play. Germany scored at: 1. **23’ (0-2): Miroslav Klose** scores off a rebound after his initial shot is saved, becoming the all-time leading goalscorer in World Cup history. 2. **24’ (0-3): Toni Kroos** hammers a left-footed strike from the edge of the box. 3. **26’ (0-4): Toni Kroos** capitalizes on a Brazilian turnover to tap in his second goal in a matter of minutes. 4. **29’ (0-5): Sami Khedira** finishes a pass from Mesut Özil to cap off an unbelievable five-goal blitz. ---

Was Mexico’s team camp during the tournament at altitude? I could imagine them putting it in Mexico City itself, but between the air quality and the number of distractions, I could see wanting to have it somewhere else. ---

I didn’t see the American red card play. But if it was reviewed during the game, it stood for the game. These things and referee calls are routinely reviewed at a higher level. If it was genuinely wrong it should be reversed. But this does not mean there should be the impression Trump caused the reversal. The proper response was to wait a bit, at least for appearances sake, remove tongue from gluteal posterior fold, announce it is being reviewed and a decision is forthcoming but will take time, and only then announce the reverse decision. And if the decision was correct, of course a “FIFA cares” facilitating payment is traditional.
