In knockout rounds, the advancing team doesn’t get paid out as winning if it was through PKs (IIRC) so there are definitely situations where the non-obvious answer is correct. ---

At least in the UK almost all football bets are normal time only. Anything that happens in ET/penalties doesn’t count unless specifically stated otherwise. ---

Last night, Canada earned its first WC point. Today, Qatar did the same. As a result, the Group B standings are, uh, rather even. Each team is 0-1-0 for 1 point, with 1 Goal For, 1 Goal Against, and (obviously) a Goal Differential of 0. This will be an interesting Group to watch. ---

If you’ve bet on a team playing on a knockout game (and thus, a draw is impossible), and it does to PKs, then what happens if you bet on a win for either team? Is it considered a draw by the Sportsbook since regular time ended in a draw? Is it a push? Or does the person who bet on the winning team still collect? ---
