U.S. is accumulating a lot of yellows. Could be bad news going forward, especially if they all have to miss the same match. I’m still suspicious of this team’s depth. ---

No, if Turkey beats both Paraguay and the USA Turkey will win the group. That’s the only other possibility. Correction: if that happens AND Australia beats Paraguay it will be a 3 way tie and right now the USA looks pretty good based on goal differential, but that could theoretically change. ---

Stranger things have happened - see the 2009 Confederations Cup. I was actually rooting for the 6-6-6-0 outcome going into the last match of the group F of the 2018 WC, if only to see Mexico go home after the group stage despite picking up six points. ---
