Well, now I’m just focusing on Senegal-Norway. Senegal was out there killing it, but produced not one goal. Norway came along and scored one…and massively close to getting another. Would love to see Senegal win. Saw France won, didn’t watch second half after all. ---

3-0 for France, with two for Mbappé, almost three, but it didn’t work out. I do not know who ends up with the record after this world cup, but it is likely that the previous record will be also passed by Mbappé even if he doesn’t catch up with Messi. I think what was said above makes a difference, there are a lot of players on the French team that can score, but apparently, so far, only one on the Argentine team. Incidentally one of the players on the French team is named Doué which translates to skilled, which he is. So when he scores a goal, we kind of go “well d’uh” of course he did, he is skilled 😀 `//i\\` ---

Have there been any big upset victories in this tournament? I know Cape Verde was chuffed to get a draw in one (or was it both) of their games, but has a big underdog won a game, yet? Also, what’s up with the pronunciation of Türkiye? ---

The stars are truly shining in this WC. Wonder if Ronaldo is feeling a little left out. Speaking of stars, I was wondering why Uruguay have 4 stars on their jerseys when they only won 2 WC’s. Apparently it’s because Uruguay won Olympic gold in the 2 Olympic Games prior to the 1st WC in 1930. FIFA recognizes those as World Championships and thus they get 4 stars on their uniforms. ---

Exactly, they have 4 World Championships, but only 2 World Cups. Biggest football nation per capita. (there are ony 3 million of them) ---
