Was this Haiti’s first WC goal ever? I can’t remember if they have ever played a WC before, and in this tournament it was their first goal. ---

If they lose by a point they will have a -2 GD, which gives them a 63.4% probability of advancing. Still, I doubt if they want to take that chance. ---

So I put the Scotland - Brazil game on to see if the promised alien abductions happened. I see the Scottish making passes near their box with Brazilians looming nearby, I think “that’s a dangerous thing to do when playing Brazil”, the Brazilian player robs the ball and scores. Chuckling ruefully, I go back to the kitchen were we are preparing dinner. Some 25 minutes later I go back to the living room, and watch the game for a bit, a Scottish player is trying to run with the ball near their box with a Brazilian looming nearby. I think “that’s a dangerous thing to do when playing Brazil”, the Brazilian player robs the ball and scores. I watched 30 seconds of the match and saw 2 goals for Brazil, I decided to turn the tv off to stop jinxing Scotland. ---
