So many US stadiums seem to be inspired by South American stadiums. i.e. huge capacity bowls without roofs. That might be fine in dry countries but it doesn’t really work in a city like New York with inclement weather.
Well, it’s better than the Ghana match (low low low bar), but it’s not exactly a thriller so far… oh and have I mentioned I HATE these stupid breaks!!!

, I am still dreading the trophy presentation. The only consolation I could have gotten from it - the (most likely) booing - will get altered by the tv broadcast’s garbled audience ambience. They can’t edit out things being thrown at the trophy presenter, though. 
England’s squad is not suited to playing these deep defences. We’re set up to play lose galliantly against the top teams.

What’s with the VAR in the Croatia-Ghana game? It was clearly a regular goal at first review, and off-side calls should be handled easily these days. Why did the ref have to review it?
England’s defence looks so leaky. Only playing one deep lying midfielder doesn’t help, but a better team is going to run riot against this England defence.
Or they played a defense suited to the game. I honestly don’t have a deep enough understanding of the sport to say, but a good team adapts its defense to the situation (be it in-game or strategically for the larger tournament).
The Columbia vs Portugal game has been pretty damn entertaining so far.
