I completely disagree. Kane expected contact, he got it, keeper took him out.
The keeper missed the ball, the striker is not required to leap over him. Can’t believe VAR didn’t turn it over and award the penalty.

I’m no expert but I feel like those penalties are given almost all the time.
This does have the feeling that England will break through eventually, but you never know.
Darren Cann, who was assistant referee in the 2010 World Cup final, is on BBC and he said he thought it was a penalty. But anyway, can’t keep looking back at that, need to keep pressing forward and hope the DRC keeper doesn’t keep playing a blinder. I’m not hopeful!

Kane not really getting any service. One of his main characteristics is dropping deep, and he’s deeper than Bellingham at points, but this is on England’s midfield.
Yeah, Kane’s qualities are really wasted when you put him only in the front to wait for service. He has been all over the pitch, sometimes deep in the defense and often with wide assists for co-players at Bayern last season, and yet he got the golden boot in the Bundesliga and in Europe.
