FIFA World Cup 2026 - discussion etc

Wow - all over for Brazil.

Haaland is getting god-like. 2-0.

Dude is a machine.

Haaland out of nowhere. 2-0 Norway!

Ro!

It was a dismissive shot. He just smashed it into the corner like a boy taking shots against his little brother.

+7 to play.

I know Brazil was was looking for an equalizer, but you just can’t give Haaland that kind of room at the top of the box. He had all the time in the world to pick out that shot.

Terminated…

Ooooh, yellow card.

And a rumble.

Yellow on Brazil.

Haaland is an absolute unit. What a monster. Unstoppable.

First time in WC history three players already potting seven goals (so far!) Messi and Mbappe of course being the other two.

Ugly way to end the game.

Penalty kick.
2-1 Brazil.

Oops typed too fast 2-1 norway.

Um, not quite.

Neymar needs a pop in the kisser. You scored a penalty and are about to lose, don’t get in the keeper’s face.

Oops sorry 2-1 Norway.

And done.

Norway through!

Ro!

Weird ending, but the better team won.

What horrible reffing at the end. This guy should not be on the field from here out.

Question: What kind of recourse or appeal is there if a ref blatantly lets stoppage time go on too long? I’m not referring to any World Cup game specifically, but it’s not hard to imagine a scenario where a ref allows 18 minutes of stoppage time when only, say, 3-6 minutes could have been justified.

Maybe your imagination is wilder than mine, but I cannot imagine such a scenario. Are you familiar with a game where it happened?
