Not this game, but I’m seeing Haaland 45 yards from goal with Norway dinking it around and it just feels like Odegaard chipping something just over Stone’s head would be really dangerous.
I feel like a lot of his goals for Dortmund were like that.

I like England’s lineup in general but if the midfield is troubled this much by Norway’s pressure, how are they going to handle what’s thrown at them the next two games (assuming they advance)? With the exception of Odegaard, who I have loved long time, that’s not a murderer’s row in the Norwegian midfield.
Haaland through his influence on the defensive posture, IMO. Neither’s had a ton to do on the ball.

I think the answer is, we wouldn’t (cope). Strong ball playing midfields have been our Achilles’ Heel for about a million years.

On the other hand, Kane actually tracks back/defends, and he’s had a few key defensive plays. But I’d still say Haaland.
