It’s that time of year again, boys and girls! Every spring, members (and guests, now) of the SDMB take part in an exchange very close to our hearts. Started by ButtonJockey, the SDMB shot glass exchange has been a great exchange for our members every year. The rules are simple. Everybody emails me their name and address (and whether or not they are willing to ship internationally). I jumble the names, and whoever drew your name sends you a shot glass, and you send a shot glass to your chosen recipient as well. You can also choose to throw in bonus items, such as a shot of liquor, some margarita mix, whatever you want, but it’s all about the glass. Since we aren’t pay-to-post anymore, I’ll open it up to guests again, but it really gets to be a hassle when people don’t send a glass. So please, PLEASE, if there is any possibility you might just get really busy and forget to send one, don’t sign up. If there’s any reason you won’t be able to send a glass, please don’t disappoint your fellow dopers. I wish I could send glasses to all those who have been stiffed in the past. It just is a shame. But anyway, this is a fun exchange. Find a unique glass, it can be from your collection, your city, or just one at a shop you think is cool. Dates for this: I’ll set the deadline for June 7, so everyone has a full month to see this. I’ll bump it a time or two so people have a chance to participate.
