Decisions, decisions, decisions! I’d either a) buy groceries, b) buy Christmas gifts, or c) Save it for NYDope. Probably groceries, as that’s really what I’m most in need of at the moment.

I have a long list of tapes, DVDs, and books that I want. $50 could knock 2, 3 items off that list.
Of course, I would probably end up shopping for Christmas gifts. My parents usually give me some cash for that, since I don’t have a job or a regular allowance, but I always feel a bit guilty. They spend enough money on me as it is, paying for school stuff.

Aw, gee, lunch and a movie, that’s sweet! 😉
Me, nothing, it’d just hang out in my wallet and get spent eventually. If you’re saying I have to spend it on some, one, thing, then a bottle-and-a-half of _Stroh_ ($35/bottle.) I’d have to send the cash to **Dyno** first, but still.

Girl, if I had to wait until I had $200 before I could buy a pair of shoes I’d have lost my toes to frostbite ages ago! I’m with **heraldgwena** –Payless or Baker’s, and sometimes a department store if there’s a good sale. I do have a pair of high-quality winter boots, black leather buckled mary-janes, and birk’s–each of which cost me between $100-200. But for the trendy stuff, or the “well, these would match that _one_ outfit I wear maybe three times a year” buys–i’m a bargain hunter all the way.
50 bucks is just about average when it comes to my footwear purchases…

I would buy stuff at a fleamarket near me, sell it on Ebay and turn it into $300. Then I would buy myself a nice leather wallet.
Or maybe I’d buy 30 packs of Hello Kitty gum.

I’d take Mom out to eat. She’s been a real sport with me out of work; taking me out several times, even though she isn’t that much better off right now than I am.
Then (cause that would only be $20-30), I’d buy groceries, and probably splurge on something like lobster or steak.

$50 would help when I go to buy a new bike in the next couple days.
Oooh, or it would just pay for getting a nipple ring.
Or a nice single malt scotch.
Perhaps Grand Theft Auto III would be cool to have around.
But the bike’s more important, I guess.

I can’t believe that not one Doper would give it to charity. Can you imagine what a small village in Africa could do with the money? No? Me neither. No Wall-Marts to spend it in. Hell, may as well keep the money here where it can be spent. I’ll buy my wife some perfume.

The charity idea is a good one, and I’m embarrassed it didn’t occur to me.
But if I had to use the fifty bucks frivolously, I’d take a friend or two out for dinner and drinks.

Nah - I never sneer. Shoes are sort of my Achilies Heel (how appropriate), well, actually accesories of every kind.
I love shoes. I have over 100 pairs (114 at last count, but that was a while ago). The most expensive pair was about $700. They’re _REALLY_ nice. 😛
In my own defence, I don’t have an expensive stereo system or an amazing DVD or video games. I have a 2nd hand car (thats getting a new engine - no shoes for me for a while ☹ ). I don’t smoke. I don’t really drink. (Maybe 3 or 4 times a year). I don’t do drugs, or have some strange food addiction. Really, as far as addictions go, I think shoes are a fairly innocuous one. But then, of course I would. 😃

I’d buy a good book, some take-out Chinese, a six-pack of diet coke and give the rest to the SO so he could go out and leave me in peace to enjoy my feast and quiet reading time.
