I have created hyperlinks in Excel to files with very long names. Windows has had no problem to accepting such long names, but the Excel hyperlink does not seem to like a long path and/or name. Is this correct, I WAG? It seems to be the culprit behind some failed links. Just hoping the SDopers might help me confirm that this is indeed a problem, or black hole, when interfacing between the OS and an Application in this fashion.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Well, it seems this may not be the case afterall. I goofed, it seems. I renamed the file after creating the link and I forgot to update the link. So, the length of the path and/or file name had nothing to do with it.

Mystery solved…for now!
