[/QUOTE] Generally, crucified people tend to hang around (no pun intended) for several days before expiring. I doubt that these folks were going to be left up for very long. Junior’s cacking it on the cross was seen as a bit premature by his Roman guards, IIRC. ---

[/QUOTE] True, but I imagine there’s a very real danger of near-instant death resulting from the nail going directly through a vein. ---
