Adore the film, bought the DVD, and want my apartment to look just like Amelie’s. Feel-good film that doesn’t make us hardened cynics want to hurl. 🙂

Montmartre is a quarter in Paris where most of the action takes place. It lies in the north, in a hilly area. The Sacre Coeur is there (which is shown in the movie). It used to be an artists area.
